Bird Trail

21st March to 17th April – 10:00am to 3:30pm

Pimp Hall Nature Reserve, Chingford E4 7HR

For children up to 8 and their parent-carers. Older siblings are welcome.

FREE : donations are welcome

Join us on a walk round Pimp Hall Nature Reserve and enjoy the sounds and sights of birds that are very active at this time of year. Look out for drawings of some thirteen birds that may well be close by as you walk. Find out about where they like to live and nest, what they like to eat and more…

We will not be physically there to meet and greet you but signs and notifications about what to look out for will be clearly visible. Please do not remove any of these. Please also be kind to nature around you. Stop, pause, look and enjoy being close to nature but don’t pick or take anything unless it has fallen to the ground or is in sufficient abundance that it clearly will not be depleted in any way. Remember to dress warm with sturdy footwear.

Accompanying our trail is a discovery pack we have prepared, “On the Wing”. You can find it on our website’s resource page. It makes suggestions about how to get to know the birds around you and give them a helping hand. It also offers ideas for arts and crafts activities you may want to try out at home.
